UK ORDERS: Tax laws for selling to EU member countries changed on July 1, 2021. This means that orders shipped to the UK will be charged VAT (Value Added Tax). EU VAT is calculated according to destination-based sourcing, which means that tax is charged to a customer based on their location.
Fae Crate is registered and currently collecting VAT in the UK. However, if for some reason your order is not charged VAT at checkout it is likely you will need to pay any VAT or other importing fees to have your order released from your country's customs department. Customers are responsible for paying these fees.
ANY INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: While many orders are charged VAT at checkout different countries have different importing policies and fees. If your country's customs department receives your package and customs fees need to be paid they will contact you accordingly. Should these fees not be paid then your package will be returned to us. If this happens and customers wish to have their package reshipped they will be responsible for paying the reshipping fee and any fees due to your country’s customs clearance department (at the time their package is received by their country's customs department).
Please note that when goods are not shipped domestically (within your country) the receiver/customer is liable to pay any inbound duties, taxes, and other fiscal charges that your local customs authority deems appropriate and as mandated within the legislative framework in the country of import.
US ORDERS: Some states have been changing their tax policies within the US since 2021. We are continuously updating our accounts for any states that require us to charge state taxes to customers. If a company sells over a certain amount to certain states, they will be required to charge state taxes to customers. We have updated many states but as we grow more states will be added and need to be updated. Depending on where you live you will be charged state taxes at checkout.
As our company grows and taxes change we will be sure to include any updates and/or changes here.
